Driving directions for those outside of the San Francisco Bay Area

​Two metropolitan airports serve the Chester-Lake Almanor area, Sacramento International Airport and Sacramento International Airport. The drive from Sacramento to Chester and Lake Almanor via Hwy 32 is 150 miles, about 3 hours - a rental car will be required. From Reno the drive is 125 miles and a little over 2 hours via Hwy 395.
